Prayer and Action (PandA) is a mission trip program founded through the Diocese of Salina, Kansas. The idea was formed by seminarians who wanted to offer a low cost mission trip experience and serve the people in their own communities. By offering opportunities for serving those in need, PandA seeks to fill the Church with missionary disciples. By prayer and work, those who serve with PandA will find themselves closer to Christ and His people.

Throughout the week, we will paint, clean, do yard work, and perform other meaningful tasks for the poor, disabled and elderly. Everyone will spend the week in an atmosphere free of distractions which will foster their faith, inspire charity, and lead them closer to Christ.

What is this trip about?

A local mission trip experience designed to immerse students into the lives of others in our community. While we will offer assistance and aid where possible, our goal for this week is to not only give but receive and be affected by a life lived outside of our normal, daily awareness and experience.

How many students can attend?

We have room for 12 awesome students to encounter the Lord, each other, and other students during this this week of service!

How many adult chaperones will attend?

Our team will be led by one of our youth ministers, and 1-3 adults - approximately a 1:5 adult-to-student ratio.
What can I expect from the experience?

How much will this trip cost?

The cost for the whole trip is $150 with a $75 down deposit required at the time of registration.

Why this experience and not another?

Holy Trinity initiated Urban Immersion in 2011 with a desire to reach out to our own neighbors and the poor in our midst. In 2012 we partnered with Prayer and Action, an Archdiocesan initiative that came to the metro area. That initiative moved to Topeka for 2013 and we became aware of Jerusalem Farm through several avenues. After serving with Jerusalem Farm for many years, we decided to once again return to Prayer and Action during the summer of 2023. It was so great, we are doing it again in 2025!
